Good post – I have never thought of Internet Marketing in those terms before. I use the Product, Promotion and Conversion methology.
The place thing as you say in an offline scenario the place is important (location, location, location) but in internet terms place means its accesbility on the internet so doesn’t apply in quite the same way.
As for People I think that should have been in there from the start as we are ultimately servicing the needs of people.
I have added myself to your feedburner so I remember to come back again.
Regards
Pete

Hi Peter,
So Glad to talk to you again.
You made 2 very good points here .
One about People who link all the process, be it the 4Ps or the PPC you shared here.
The 2nd is Conversion, is indeed a very crucial element that most offline marketer tend to missed for their online marketing effort.
Online marketing offers a rare opportunities where we can measured Visitors Traffic PLUS Conversion, whether it is converting into click-thrus, opt in leads and ultimately sales from the marketing.
Thank you for your input and I am honored to have you as a repeat visitors.
Cheers

Hi Jason,
The 4P’s of marketing is in fact a very well known offline marketing tenant. However, adding the 5th P (people)is essential as you correctly stated – people are involved in each one of the other P’s.
However, I will point out that the P for “place” IS very highly relevant online. Think not geographically not demographically – NICHE marketing! Irrespective of the product or price or promotion you prepare if it does not relate to the people in the niche market you are aiming at all will be wasted!
So I am one of those who strongly believe that the 5 P’s are equally viable both online and offline. Well that’s my 2 bobs worth for today mate. Best wishes

Hi Peter,A very good point you made here on the “Place”.
Relevancy seems to be something that some marketers tend to take for granted thses days. There was once Yahoo in Taiwan tend to use a highly attraction headlines for their ad campaign for a a client of them who have a bank cash cards products. The only thing is that the head ine is completely irrelevant, They used headlines like ” Pretty Sexy Girls Goes Wild At City Hall” , ” Hot girls having fun! Click here to see” or anything lke that and lead people to clcik to a splash page that to promote their cash cards.
Yes, the click thru and perhaps conversion may be high 5 years ago. But I think surfers are getting more sophisticated these days so the such pratice will loose it’s magic.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers
