I had flown to Hong Kong, Dubai, Mumbai and have done little about my internet marketing stuff. I have big plans, but was kept pulling away with my work and personal schedule, not to mentioned , financial obligations to two families , in Singapore where my mum who had lost both of her legs with a medical complications of diabetes, and my own family in Taiwan.
“Yes is tough, very tough!” and so I thought.
One month ago, my boss made a decision to change my job function. He wanted me to stop doing sales , something I enjoyed and loved, and wanted me to focus totally on marketing for the company. It is much against my will, as we don’t share the same view about marketing. That’s why I had hold on to the sales function on top of my marketing for years. Doing marketing in my company means tons of administration stuff and simply follow whatever my boss says. No input from me whatsoever.
I was angry!
I hated that but have no choice to oblige as I could not afford to go without the salary.
Little did I realize, this sudden change of my job function could lead me into one of those Defining Moment of my life…….
I spend the next few weeks getting use to my new job function and responsibility, but the anger in me did not subside. I swear to God that I am going to find a way to speed up my process with my internet marketing business venture. I re-organize everything and decided to check out where I had left. I found the mails of me helping Marcus and checked out his site naturally…….. I was AMAZED!!!
Marcus, during the pass 4 months , had progress so much on his site!
He had Tripled his email subscribers list, Doubled his blog comments, accumulated a page views from 636 to 10912 and increased his Twitter followers from 1500 to 6000! He had set up new opt in auto responder programs, post videos, made a lot of friends and receive a lot of FREE help from them
I couldn’t help but begun to read through all his post in detail to find out how he had achieved that.
What I found Kicked me on my butt! HARD!
No, is not about any secret formula or system or guru that he had met or used. Instead, like everybody else, Marcus have his own share of struggles in life! Just to name a few….
- He is a postman who had to work 51 hours a week, and
- As a postman, he need to get up in the middle of the night which leaves him feeling tired all the time.
- His wife need to do part time work to keep their heads above the water of their financial struggles.
- Marcus also have to help looking after his children including a baby boy and share house hold chores, that leaves him little time left for his business.
- He have a debt he need to manage with the little resources he had.
And all along I kept whining about how tough my life is!!!
Needless to say, that POST kept me sleepless for the whole night.
I Re-think my whole approach to my internet marketing business and realize that I really need to go back to the basic once and for all. I also realized the importance of finding a person where I can relate and feel comfortable with to learn from and model upon. And that’s what I did.
Like Marcus, I decided to find myself a Real Life Mentor – Alex Jeffrey, the same person who had coach Marcus when I met him to teach me everything he had taught to Marcus.
I may not be as lucky as Marcus to get Alex’s coaching Free, he actually “earn” it during a “blog post contest” (which is another remarkable story which I will tell you when given the chance in my later post). But I am still lucky though , as Alex Jeffrey Coaching is only opened for a limited number of people for a limited time frame. (It is now closed)
Now, I do not really know at what stage you are in in your internet marketing business venture, but I believe we can all learn a thing or two from Marcus, in the sense that we can be successful by keeping it real with who we are, a sincere and honest person, by willing to learn and ask for help whenever we needs it and perseverance with action despite the struggle of our life. And how by helping others, we receive even more in return in ways you could never imagine.
I wish the best for Markus and his families. I do hope that there may a day I will meet him in person where I will thank him, face to face. I wish the best for anyone, who had the same sincerity and heart like Marcus Passey!

Hey Jason,
I’m an MWA 2.0 student and have had the pleasure of knowing Marcus from the beginning. He has come a heck of a long way! Being that he works over 50 hours per week, it has given me the inspiration to push through my own work schedule.
He’s an awesome guy to know and chat with… and downright a cool dude!
I wish you the most success, John. Take Marcus’ lead, he really knows what the right direction is!
Joe
Also, stay active in the forum… that’s where you’ll find some of the best help and contacts!!

Hey Jason
I came to know of Marcus through one of his forum posts where he states that he won a place in AJ’s coaching. It just amazes me how much he has grown in a space of a few months and it serves as a boost to me that I too want to be as good a student as he was.
Although you and I were not as “lucky” to win a spot, we are still lucky to be in this exclusive coaching and I’m sure we will reach Marcus’s level with the same amount of hard work.
To our success in 2010!

Hi Jason
I’m a student of AJ coaching as well, but I didn’t benefit from the coaching as Marcus did. Mainly because my personal life and daily life just drag me out of my plan again and again. However I want to come back and keep pushing myself as well. The main point for IM is to focus, and get your goals done. That’s what I’ve learn. Regardless how busy we are, we still need to keep going on. otherwise we’re just in the rat race!
I really want to connect with like minded people like yourself. Here is my facebook link

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Hi Kin,
Believe me, I know what you are going through, I mean the part of being “drag out” from your plan. It really takes more energy than what we expect to keep that “fire” in our heart. And the story of Marcus really helps to remind us that all the pieces will come together with every forward movement we make. I will connect with you Kin No Prob! Where are your from, really?
Cheers
